Our Program

BAC will be comprised of one self-contained classroom supporting six students, each with one-on-one supervision from a qualified teaching assistant and supervised by a head teacher with a masters level degree in Special Education. All assisstants have bachelors degrees in a related field and have completed our extensive training program. Head teachers have extensive behavioral training and several years of experience working with autistic children.

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst on staff will oversee the classroom and all aspects of programming and ensure the quality of teaching procedures and effective day-to- day goal keeping and objectives. All program decisions are data driven.

Integrating Our Students

Generalization is a key component of success for autistic children. A primary characteristic of children with autism is a lack of social relatedness. While there are many treatment programs geared toward addressing this problem on a clinical level, our program targets this in a naturalistic setting with trained staff and typically developed children who are taught how to interact with our kids.

At BAC, we will provide many opportunities each day for our special needs children to interact with their typically developing peers. We encourage our students to participate in as many peer-related programs as is appropriate for their skill level. In addition, we contrive many opportunities each day for integration
